Located just a 90-minute drive from Sapporo city or New Chitose Airport, Rusutsu Resort offers convenient access for day trips. However, staying multiple nights at the resort is highly recommended to fully enjoy all it has to offer.
The resort features three mountains—Isola, East, and West—with a total of 37 courses. Covering all the runs adds up to an impressive 42 km!
This makes Rusutsu the largest single ski area in Hokkaido.
The resort has many ungroomed courses, and the "Tree Run Area" and "Sidecountry Park" allow you to enjoy natural powder runs and terrain-based jumps, providing a unique Rusutsu experience.
Additionally, Rusutsu is highly regarded both domestically and internationally, consistently ranking high and receiving numerous awards.
Japan's Best Ski Resort
Rusutsu Resort was awarded "Japan’s Best Ski Resort 2021" by the World Ski Awards!
It has won this prestigious title four times (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021), making it a beloved destination for skiers worldwide.
The World Ski Awards (headquartered in London, UK) is part of the "World Travel Awards," often considered the Oscars of the travel industry. This award is one of the highest honors in the global ski tourism industry.
